Curious - Re-release of second album Arrhythmia as a free download
dissolve bands, there are many, which one nachweint no tears. Others we miss very much. You notice this particularly if old songs or albums will be reissued. Then, the hope rises to a revival (to New-German, "Re-Union" called) of such bands.
So it is delivered, as I heard that the band Bielefeld Curious almost 2 years after their farewell concert, the first album appeared in 2008 Arrhythmia re-released as free download on 15/02/2011.
Curious was founded in 1999 originally as a Cure cover band. Their music was influenced in the earlier years by bands like The Chameleons, or OMD, before the founders considered on their own compositions. Originated heard their music yet again and again unmistakable. Friend of The Cure will be in this relatively quiet and melancholic album have delight. The album contains songs in top 80's Wave style, and thus leads the path of the first releases, the self-produced EP Falling (2002) and the debut album The Intimate Stranger (2004) straight away.
Who likes bands that sound like you know and appreciate them and has learned, in this case, atmospheric, emotional and melancholy, which is right here. One must not always be reinventing the wheel. What is good will be good in the future - provided it does not degenerate into a trap, a Leave album to do, which is trying desperately to land the big hit. But in this case, Curious has not happened with Arrhythmia . Instead, it is a harmonious self-contained unit with many small hits. The best you can hear the album with a fine glass of red wine. Thus, the different senses to complement the most beautiful way.
As has united the band through numerous live performances (with Mark Bugess) a loyal fan base around is to really hope that the re-release is perhaps connected to the one or other gig. If this is not the case, then stay next to the albums after all, the current project of former band members, which goes by the name of The Shock Proect.
